June 3rd– and, therefore, Reading Until Dawn Con— is less than three weeks away. Please excuse me while I squee myself.
Okay, I think I’m done. (We’ll see). Anyhoo! It’s not too late to register. Join me and my cast of characters. The plushies, not the fictional char– You know what?It doesn’t matter, they’ll all be there: plushies and fictional characters alike.
Cannes-Can’s special pillow fort edition of Story Corner will include coloring; readings of a few of my favorite scenes from Fallen, Book 1 in the Fallen Series; nursery rhymes (naturally); and the pilot debut of Real Shit, personal narratives as modern day fairy tales (they’re going to have morals and everything).
Happy Wednesday my delightful Cannes-Cans! I have some super exciting news: you can win a paid registration for Reading Until Dawn Con (RUDC) and come party with me!!! Squeeeeeeeeee!
Casey Harris-Parks announced the giveaway during a book chat with Tamara from Shelf Addiction. Listen to the podcast here to get pumped for RUDC and get your instructions for contest entry.
RUDC17 will be held Saturday, June 3rd in Denver, and it’s a little different than other cons. When I say a little, I mean a lot different. Rather than discussion panels and classes, RUDC has games and booze. This is so my kind of con. Oh, and did I mention that the fabulous Larissa Ione is emceeing this event? Are you freaking kidding me?! She’s not even my usual genre, but she’s fantastic! I think I love her. I mean that in a totally platonic, not creepy at all kind of way.
Ooh baby! Ooooh baby!!! Get excited party people, it’s about to be on like Donkey Kong. Reading Until Dawn Con 2017 is officially happening and yours truly is definitely going to be there. One of the things that makes RUDC so unique is the unfettered access to authors: “Anyone can go to any author/reader/writer conference and listen to their favorite author talk about writing. But how many can say that they hung out with their favorite author? Not many. RUDC will be all about hanging out, playing games, and having fun.” – RUDC
We’re losing the barriers, and possibly our pants. Registration is open, but space is limited, so be sure to get yours while the gettin’ is good. And, Cannes-Cans, I expect you to be the rowdiest in the room (in a good way, of course).
Reading Until Dawn Con will be held June 3, 2017 in Denver, CO. Register here and share a gin with me 😉
Fuck. Me. Hard. It’s nearly August. While I’m not entirely sure where the past seven months went– mostly I blame the gin– I do know that in August I will be in Troy, MI for Rust City Book Con‘s kick off year. As always, I’m wildly excited to take my pants off and meet fellow authors and book nerds. To get my game face on, I recently participated in Alpha Heroes’ five-word flash fiction game. Because I know nothing about steampunk, other than I love the cosplay, and I’m not sure I could effectively write contemporary if my life depended on it, I was the fourth author to take on the Alchemy series. See the full interview and find links for parts I, II, and III here. Keep reading to see what shenanigans our dear Mara got to under my tender, loving care.
